The Classification Review Board today undertook a review of the consumer advice for Charlie Wilson’s War starring Tom Hanks. At this stage I don’t know who lodged the application or why (distributor looking for a more lenient rating?), but the ACB PR says the decision and reasons will appear on www.classification.gov.au (not published at time of writing).
The film was classified M for ‘Moderate coarse language and drug references, Violence’ by the Classification Board in early 2008 and from memory that seems to be an accurate classification.

There are a few sexual references in it, but I don’t think it’s anything to write home about.

Damn good movie, though I think the rating may have been about spot on.
