Officer please: Stephanie Rice FaceBook shots too hot for Swimming Australia

Attention: This blog post about Stephanie Rice would probably be banned to Australians if the Federal Government’s planned mandatory Internet censorship scheme or ‘Clean Feed’ is introduced in 2008/2009.

Stephanie Rice Police OfficerPhotos on swimmer Stephanie Rice’s FaceBook profile have been deemed too raunchy for Swimming Australia. As a result, they’ve ordered all swimmers to make their Facebook pages private so only friends can view them.

Lavalife: Where Singles Click!

Talk about making a big deal out of nothing. Steph’s photos are extremely tame and are nothing more than shots of a girl and her friends partying and having fun.

Hardly obscene or ‘distasteful’ as Swimming Australia called them. Heck, you see more skin when she’s in the pool.

Of course, thanks to the heavy handed response from SA, the world can now see each and every photo. News Ltd has posted her gallery.

  3. “Heck, you see more skin when she’s in the pool.”

HAHA, I was going to say the same thing. It reminds me of that case in America where the mayor, who used to get around in a bikini handing out flyers for the council, got booted from the job after she was in posing like a model.

Then the funniest part about this is they then go and release nude calendars for charity anyway! WHAT!?

  5. I am a swimmer and I saw Stephanie for the first time at the World Championships in Melbourne. Since the first swim I knew I was in front of a great swimmer.
I was not wrong an at the Olympic Trials she broke 2 WR and became the first women in nealy 29 years to hold the 200 and 400 IM WR.
Three months later Katie Hoff took her 400WR back and Natalie Coughlin is right on her heels.
While they are training their hearts out, Stephanie is partying…they are going to crush her if she doesn-t takes this seriously.
I hope she won-t let us down.

  9. In other news, WW3 has broken out !

By Richard on Aug 6, 2008

  10. She has a big name in the world of swimming. since she has been in the sport and limelight from a relatively young age she must have lost out on a lot of chill-out time as compared to other gals her age due to her hectic schedule. if she wants 2 get raunchy at a party, no problem at all. the pics are far from raunchy anyways.

By Nikhs on Aug 9, 2008

  11. Im doing a report on her for school
Searching in Images and finding this…
She should be ashamed of herself! Shes Suppose to be A swimmmer. Dint swimmers know that there world-wide famous. Lucky that the photos werent too bad. But if they get out of control that would be bad.
Well I mean she should party all she wants. But not take photos and Post them on the internet, if they get into the wrong hands there will be trouble. And anyways i am proud shes our girl. IM FUCKING PROUD

  12. excellent swimmer but with poor conduct. disappointing.

By sdifbweriubv on Aug 12, 2008

  13. Why is it poor conduct?

By Mike on Aug 13, 2008

  14. there is no poor conduct in any of this situation, society is full of over sensitive fucktards trying to rake a story out of the air…meh, raunchy…it would be raunchy if she got her tits out…*Sigh*

By Sidfub on Aug 13, 2008

  15. every one shut up shes a normal person …just like all of you and me !…..so what if shes a good swimmer….she can still fucking have fun

By Dennis on Aug 14, 2008

  19. Lol. She was a normal girl before she was a swimmer & i understand there is standards to be set for australia. Everytime she gets in the pool she shows more skin! I dont see nothing wrong with this picture. And anyone who does is been silly! Go steph!

By Kate on Aug 14, 2008

  20. It is absolutely ridiculous to say that it is disappointing…she is a swimmer. That is all. She has no obligation to be anything but a swimmer. Why should these people have extra burdens placed on them to be perfect citizens? They aren’t politicians, they aren’t any kind of leaders. They are normal people doing sports. Nothing more. Stop putting them up on a pedestal, realise they are real people applaude them when they win but otherwise bloody well leave them alone to do whatever the hell they want to do in private. And I mean…raunchy. You see girls walking down the street wearing less clothes. All she is doing is posing…what a slut. (That was sarcastic by the way, I know how hard it is to convery sarcasm just via text.)

By dan on Aug 14, 2008

  21. heeeey shes a champion leave her alone shes a beauty and a winner,,,, screw the banning of the liberty of doing with her images whatever she freaking wants let her be happy jajajajajajajajajaja

  27. The face of an angel, the heart of a lion, and a wonderful human being! Steph looks to me like she is living life to the full and has nothing to be ‘disappointed’ or ashamed of. Only problem with her success is now every moment of her life – good or bad will be recorded and judged. Lets embrace our Australian super talented girl rather than find fault – anyone can do that. She is after all human just like the rest of us, although from some of the comments here, I do wonder. Rice rocks big time!

By Alex on Aug 15, 2008

  28. helllo, my mum shows more skin then this. you guys are cfoooool

By brayden and sarah on Aug 15, 2008

  29. Raunchy? Are you kidding? Excuse me, but isn’t she wearing more clothing in that photo (in private) than what she wears while she swims (watched by millions on TV)?

By florida on Aug 15, 2008

  30. hahaha lol

    By wg4uotqggf qwruo on Aug 15, 2008

  31. Totally over the top! Raunchy? you have to be joking. Steph is an incredible swimmer,a totally beautiful young woman and is not doing anything remotely abnormal for a person her age.

Far from being inapproriate they show that despite being such an incredible athlete she also is able to enjoy herself in a tasteful way.

Those stuffed shirts can go junp!

Go Stephanie you are a champ! Three Olympic Gold medals prove it.

By Ian on Aug 16, 2008

  32. Hell leave her alone and let her have fun.As a true blue Aussie its good to see our heros letting there hair down.Look if you or me were to go out and dress in raunchy clothes who would give a dam noone. So it should be the same for our sports stars and stars in genral.Let them get on with there lives and let the live it the way they choose to.Has any these pictures effected her in anyway well I say 3 gold medals tell you it hasnt.Good on ya steph and remember no matter what you do us true blue aussie are behind you all the way.

  33. Steph rice what a smart sexy icon

By ANDREW DAVY on Aug 18, 2008

  34. For crying out loud leave the poor girl alone! She has done absolutely nothing wrong! Just because she is a professional athlete should not and does not mean she loses her personal freedom and her right to have a good time partying with friends. Shame on anyone who thinks otherwise.

By Timothy on Aug 18, 2008

  35. Hey Peeps!! Now, lets get this freekin sorted. Say me and a group of my gals went to a party and had tons of fun, took afew shots and just acted our true selves, a girl? no one would give a fricken damn, unless they were mentally retarded and had a tube in their brain tied up in nots, would they? Steph is a beautiful gal who is a briliant role model and swimmer, and just wanted to be a true girl. I’m doing a biography at school on her for school.

Good on ya, Steph. Keep up the good work! You just remember that whatever you do, True Aussie spirit will always be with you all the time. Go get it, Girl!!!

By joseph on Aug 20, 2008

  41. alright she’s a 20 yr old girl leave her be seriously just because she out and swimming doesnt mean she has to stop having her fun and enjoy herself…being out in the public like that can seriously stress people out and then along come a bunch of dumb asses scooping up more of her pics its her life and she is living it. Steph is a damn good swimmer with a big life ahead of her, put yourself in her position who wants to be miss goody goody for the rest of there life?. I say good on her party it up either way hard out!

By Jy on Aug 20, 2008

  42. This is exactly why i wouldn’t want to be famous, every fucking thing you do is recorded and handed to thousands of over-critical people (clearly with no lives of their own if all they can think to do is criticize you & over-exaggerate the situation turning it into something its not) i mean, have any of you even looked on the web, for 5 minutes, if you google search oak trees, i promise you’ll find things far more ‘raunchy’ then this. . .

By joe on Aug 21, 2008

  43. For God’s Sake people, drop it. This is old news, and most of you have missed the point anyway

Has she proved herself to you with 3 gold medals, fansteph or are you still worrying about her partying?

By Annie on Aug 21, 2008

  45. If these pictures you say caused such a problem and have been deemed “too raunchy for Swimming Australia”, why the hell have you re posted them on this website. You guys are two faced retards. Actions speak louder then words idiots.

By Aidan on Aug 21, 2008

  46. Because we are a showcase of all things stupid and were not deemed raunchy by us?

By Mike on Aug 21, 2008

  47. Come on … can’t you see that it’s all part of a carefully planned ‘celebrity building’ enterprise, just like her ‘break up’ from Eamon Sullivan. I’m not besmirching her swimming prowess, but her agent/manager is doing a good job of ensuring that she will have a decent income from using her profile for product endorsements and other assorted advertising.

By Dr. Bob on Aug 22, 2008

  48. I believe that stephanie is very beautiful, the most beautiful woman who has seen, you upset I saw her, already i was dreaming of an integral kitchen, of a dog, with the children playing in the garden and with her as my wife. Ahhaha
I believe that nothing of what they could say of her is going to take this admiration for the woman from me most rapid of the world in the water and simultaneously the most beautiful in the land.

Stephanie I am just a Colombian more in the world but, am the admirer mas faithfully and romantically that you could have.

A kiss and never forget that in colombia there is anybody who admires you.

By david on Aug 22, 2008

  49. you are my best fan and i love stephanie rice with her hot pic i got over 200 pics of her since 2000 olympics and id like to meet her one day. let the girl have fun shes only young. dont use want her to live her life

By Jalal Kassem on Aug 22, 2008

  50. The media only posts what they think will catch people’s attention… haven’t you guys ever heard of them? She’s just human. Besides, the photos are regular photos that any normal person would take just to have fun, and then the media makes it top news. It’s from a fun, flirty picture into a dirty, innapropriate peice of bait for the media. Get a life.

By Jala on Aug 22, 2008

  51. I agree with sdifbweriubv.

Stephanie Rice is an amazing swimmer, but bloody hell…

I feel such great disrespect for people who pose for pictures like that, but why even consider posting the pictures on FaceBook, where EVERYONE can see?

Children look up to her, what if they saw these pictures?

She’s known to be a world-record holder and gold medalist, and is most commonly known to boys/men as a hot swimmer they’d love to root.
Look at the comments. “Damn she’s hot”, “Where do I find more hot pictures of her?” and the perverted comments just keep coming.

Yeah, she DOES show more skin in the pool, but that’s different. Wearing a skimpy police officer’s outfit implies kinky sexual acts.

    This is a 14 year old’s opinion.
I just wish she’d be a better example for young girls out there who look up to her.
I know I would be a fan, if I hadn’t seen her like this.

By Monique on Aug 22, 2008

  52. everyone should just give steph a fucking break she is a great swimmer probably one of the best, what she does outside swimming is non of anyones business. she is young and she loves to party. big deal. what is the probabvility that other simmers ain’t parting even mmore than her , but obviously they are doing it sereating of course, but when it comes to steph everything is making a bloody big fuss bout it.mind your fucking busines for once in your misrable lives.geeeeeeeez

hope she gets better from pneumonia
    i really hopeto meet her

By Fatema on Aug 30, 2008

  56. Stephanie rice is a lying slut…dumps Aust best sprint swimmer then snogs up with Michael Phelps then denies it then pulls some bs story so she can get out of her tour committment with Davenport just so she can further break way with Sullivan…self centred stuckup bitch is what she is…no amont of gold will change that!

By Danny on Sep 1, 2008

  57. So jsut shut up and WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN LIVES

By **Princess in the pool** on Sep 1, 2008

  58. Responding to the comment by Monique:

“Children look up to her, what if they saw these pictures?”

Gee I dunno… maybe that it’s a-ok for beautiful women to get pictured fully clothed?

Oh what a terrible role model indeed! All these children having their self-confidence destroyed because a women can look beautiful clothed!

I’m thinking you prefer photos showing girls posing fully nude no? That set a better example for them growing up right?

By JuliusCaesar on Sep 2, 2008

  59. Now just a cpl of dys later she has “recovered” from her ’bout of pneumonia…wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine she just used it as an excuse to get out of her tour committment with Davenport and part ways with Eamon.

By Danny on Sep 3, 2008

  60. Yes, steph is a pretty gal. Yes she parties. I dont think she has shown any pics that are inappropriate ( such as paris hiltons pussy at a party).

By the way, steph is really not that famous: certainly not an international celebrity ( like usain bolt or phelps), and c’mon lets be honest: swimming is cared about once every 4 years and no one gives a shit about it after the games.

By i'd fcuk her on Sep 5, 2008

  61. You people are fucked. Don’t feel too bad though, it’s not just you. It’s the entire human population of this god-forsaken rock. Humankind needs to be eradicated for they are obsolete… Anyway, let the bitch swim or strip or have her photo taken fully clothed (oh, shock-horror!). If she was a raccoon I’d fuck her…

By Misanthrope on Sep 10, 2008

  62. Every human has their right to have fun, why does the public have to interferre in their business.
when she is in the pool, thats her profession, she does her job right, but when she having fun just like we do, why do the people oppose, or object everyone does it, its nothing new.. i feel its cool.
go on girl have fun enjoy life to its fullest

By aum on Sep 29, 2008

  65. And yet another adolescent misses the point. That is why we are doomed to have a world class broadband infrastructure…3rd world.

By Stevian on Nov 5, 2008

  66. The adolescents who are voicing objection to this will probably laugh in a few years time. They just haven’t reached that “stage” yet. Your time will come don’t worry; no need to feel jealous. They’ll wake up and finally realise that no-one really cares so long as she is professional when she needs to be (i.e. when in the pool).

A good word of advice for all the youngens though: don’t allow yourself to be spoon-fed what the media tells you. It is really important that you use your brain okay…

  69. gorgeous , she is beautifull and now awarded as the sexiest sportswomen :)

“Swimming sensation Stephanie Rice has been named the sexiest sportswoman in the world. Rice came in at No.30 in a leading men’s magazine’s 100 sexiest women in the world in 2009. Serbian tennis starlet Ana Ivanovic is on No. 32. The magazine says Rice has a body honed to perfection.
