Officer please: Stephanie Rice FaceBook shots too hot for Swimming Australia

Attention: This blog post about Stephanie Rice would probably be banned to Australians if the Federal Government’s planned mandatory Internet censorship scheme or ‘Clean Feed’ is introduced in 2008/2009.

Stephanie Rice Police OfficerPhotos on swimmer Stephanie Rice’s FaceBook profile have been deemed too raunchy for Swimming Australia. As a result, they’ve ordered all swimmers to make their Facebook pages private so only friends can view them.

Lavalife: Where Singles Click!

Talk about making a big deal out of nothing. Steph’s photos are extremely tame and are nothing more than shots of a girl and her friends partying and having fun.

Hardly obscene or ‘distasteful’ as Swimming Australia called them. Heck, you see more skin when she’s in the pool.

Of course, thanks to the heavy handed response from SA, the world can now see each and every photo. News Ltd has posted her gallery.

  3. “Heck, you see more skin when she’s in the pool.”

HAHA, I was going to say the same thing. It reminds me of that case in America where the mayor, who used to get around in a bikini handing out flyers for the council, got booted from the job after she was in posing like a model.

Then the funniest part about this is they then go and release nude calendars for charity anyway! WHAT!?

  4. hahaha good to see cam getting the girls

  5. I am a swimmer and I saw Stephanie for the first time at the World Championships in Melbourne. Since the first swim I knew I was in front of a great swimmer.
I was not wrong an at the Olympic Trials she broke 2 WR and became the first women in nealy 29 years to hold the 200 and 400 IM WR.
Three months later Katie Hoff took her 400WR back and Natalie Coughlin is right on her heels.
While they are training their hearts out, Stephanie is partying…they are going to crush her if she doesn-t takes this seriously.
I hope she won-t let us down.

  9. In other news, WW3 has broken out !

By Richard on Aug 6, 2008

  10. She has a big name in the world of swimming. since she has been in the sport and limelight from a relatively young age she must have lost out on a lot of chill-out time as compared to other gals her age due to her hectic schedule. if she wants 2 get raunchy at a party, no problem at all. the pics are far from raunchy anyways.

By Nikhs on Aug 9, 2008

  11. Im doing a report on her for school
Searching in Images and finding this…
She should be ashamed of herself! Shes Suppose to be A swimmmer. Dint swimmers know that there world-wide famous. Lucky that the photos werent too bad. But if they get out of control that would be bad.
Well I mean she should party all she wants. But not take photos and Post them on the internet, if they get into the wrong hands there will be trouble. And anyways i am proud shes our girl. IM FUCKING PROUD

By sdifbweriubv on Aug 12, 2008

  13. Why is it poor conduct?

By Mike on Aug 13, 2008

  14. there is no poor conduct in any of this situation, society is full of over sensitive fucktards trying to rake a story out of the air…meh, raunchy…it would be raunchy if she got her tits out…*Sigh*

By Sidfub on Aug 13, 2008

  15. every one shut up shes a normal person …just like all of you and me !…..so what if shes a good swimmer….she can still fucking have fun

  18. Shes so god dam hot, the things i’d do to her……

By Dennis on Aug 14, 2008

  19. Lol. She was a normal girl before she was a swimmer & i understand there is standards to be set for australia. Everytime she gets in the pool she shows more skin! I dont see nothing wrong with this picture. And anyone who does is been silly! Go steph!

By Kate on Aug 14, 2008

  20. It is absolutely ridiculous to say that it is disappointing…she is a swimmer. That is all. She has no obligation to be anything but a swimmer. Why should these people have extra burdens placed on them to be perfect citizens? They aren’t politicians, they aren’t any kind of leaders. They are normal people doing sports. Nothing more. Stop putting them up on a pedestal, realise they are real people applaude them when they win but otherwise bloody well leave them alone to do whatever the hell they want to do in private. And I mean…raunchy. You see girls walking down the street wearing less clothes. All she is doing is posing…what a slut. (That was sarcastic by the way, I know how hard it is to convery sarcasm just via text.)

By dan on Aug 14, 2008

  21. heeeey shes a champion leave her alone shes a beauty and a winner,,,, screw the banning of the liberty of doing with her images whatever she freaking wants let her be happy jajajajajajajajajaja

  25. honestly Swimming Australia GET A LIFE
Athletes are a superior race or anything they are normal human beings
they are flesh and blood and a whole lot of muscle
or skin and bone jsut like everyone esle all i can say is again GET A LIFE

By james on Aug 14, 2008

  26. im all yours if u want me hun

By jay on Aug 15, 2008

  27. The face of an angel, the heart of a lion, and a wonderful human being! Steph looks to me like she is living life to the full and has nothing to be ‘disappointed’ or ashamed of. Only problem with her success is now every moment of her life - good or bad will be recorded and judged. Lets embrace our Australian super talented girl rather than find fault - anyone can do that. She is after all human just like the rest of us, although from some of the comments here, I do wonder. Rice rocks big time!

By Alex on Aug 15, 2008

  28. helllo, my mum shows more skin then this. you guys are cfoooool

By brayden and sarah on Aug 15, 2008

  29. Raunchy? Are you kidding? Excuse me, but isn’t she wearing more clothing in that photo (in private) than what she wears while she swims (watched by millions on TV)?

By florida on Aug 15, 2008

  30. hahaha lol

    By wg4uotqggf qwruo on Aug 15, 2008

  31. Totally over the top! Raunchy? you have to be joking. Steph is an incredible swimmer,a totally beautiful young woman and is not doing anything remotely abnormal for a person her age.

Far from being inapproriate they show that despite being such an incredible athlete she also is able to enjoy herself in a tasteful way.

Those stuffed shirts can go junp!

Go Stephanie you are a champ! Three Olympic Gold medals prove it.

By Ian on Aug 16, 2008

  32. Hell leave her alone and let her have fun.As a true blue Aussie its good to see our heros letting there hair down.Look if you or me were to go out and dress in raunchy clothes who would give a dam noone. So it should be the same for our sports stars and stars in genral.Let them get on with there lives and let the live it the way they choose to.Has any these pictures effected her in anyway well I say 3 gold medals tell you it hasnt.Good on ya steph and remember no matter what you do us true blue aussie are behind you all the way.

  33. Steph rice what a smart sexy icon

By ANDREW DAVY on Aug 18, 2008

  34. For crying out loud leave the poor girl alone! She has done absolutely nothing wrong! Just because she is a professional athlete should not and does not mean she loses her personal freedom and her right to have a good time partying with friends. Shame on anyone who thinks otherwise.

By Timothy on Aug 18, 2008

  35. Hey Peeps!! Now, lets get this freekin sorted. Say me and a group of my gals went to a party and had tons of fun, took afew shots and just acted our true selves, a girl? no one would give a fricken damn, unless they were mentally retarded and had a tube in their brain tied up in nots, would they? Steph is a beautiful gal who is a briliant role model and swimmer, and just wanted to be a true girl. I’m doing a biography at school on her for school.

Good on ya, Steph. Keep up the good work! You just remember that whatever you do, True Aussie spirit will always be with you all the time. Go get it, Girl!!!
