Had a chance to take a peek at Sky News’ poll on the issue. As unscientific as most online polls are, it was still reassuring to see such an enormous “no” vote.

Polls don’t mean anything online or offline really. If the powers that be want this filter bad enough it’ll be done. Short of taking up arms, they’re not going to sweat anything you say or do. Just remember democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner, while liberty is those two wolves encountering a well-armed and well-informed sheep!
Take up “cyber-arms” against the filter. Spread the addresses of Tor, I2P, Jondonym, and web proxies everywhere you can. Overwhelm them with so much encrypted proxy traffic the filter becomes meaningless. Inform anyone who will listen that these options exist. Let them know a clean feed is a proxy configuration away. Don’t let the government deny you what is rightfully yours!

Another great tool for bypassing internet filters is at http://www.hotspotshield.com
I recommend downloading and installing it now so that once sites offering filter evasion tools are blacklisted you will already have it there ready to go.
