It looks as though there may be somewhere in the region of about 2,000+ attendees for the Sydney event (as listed at the moment) and that’s only going by those who have a Facebook profile and who have flagged the Sydney Facebook event page as either “attending” or “maybe attending”.

I’ll be at the Brisbane one with bells on, and bringing as many friends as I can.

@ Cameron – It’s great that you’re bringing the kids. I think the rally needs as diverse a mix of people as possible, to show the government that we’re not just a bunch of perverts and hippie cranks.

I’m considering using slogans along the lines of “Education, not censorship” and “$40Million for a placebo”, but would also welcome suggestions or constructive criticism. It’s kind of hard to pack the multitude of reasons why compulsory filtering is a bad idea into a catchy slogan.
