filtering the internet is nothing, technology is at a place where they can censor phones, mobile and landlines, radio and television will happen after just sit on your bums and procrastinate people, if these hardline religious fanatics ( you know it’s the bretheren and festival of light,they have a new name now, and other crazy cult religions that are behind these kind of politicians)get their way it will be church every sunday or off to the football stadium to get shot in the head just like the good ‘ol boys in the taliban do to the people they “protect”. Even Barack Obama is against this kind of censorship. EUREKA STACKADE FOREVER

I don’t care what Conroy says, I demand he be sacked! We should never, ever have to see such disregard for the popular view and human rights ever again, and a lesson should be learned by all politicians. NEVER EVER try to take away our freedoms. Sack him, he’s a disgrace.

Is it time to start bringing out the analogies yet? Isn’t this the same as saying “Every item coming into Australia via plane, sea, mail etc needs to be opened, inspected and deemed legal before it is allowed to enter Australia, because we can’t have anything illegal in Australia.”

Or what about surveillance camera’s inside everyone’s bedrooms to ensure no one is having any kind of illegal relations?

Or how bout mandatory drug tests for each person, everyday? Politicians included?

Or mandatory fitting of breath-testers to each vehicle? Wouldn’t that completely wipe out drunk driving which is illegal?

I listened the Media report this morning where he appeared to lie(misrepresent) about the conversation with the greens senator ludlum? I will have to check again.

He did also mention twice that they were trying to see if it was technically possible to do so, perhaps he is gearing up for a back down?

that is what happens when you try to pass something this dramatic and try to do it quietly. the people who are interested in the related field WILL take notice, and will tell the general public about it and inform them of the implications.

Conroy is just upset that his plan to get the family first vote by any means necessesary (Does anyone else here actualy fear what this proposal that they need to give family first their mandatory internet censorship to win over is?) has backfired in his face and made him unpopular with many other parties, including ones he probably wanted the vote of as well.

Now thats what I call Progress. Folks, I have started letterboxing my street. Very Simple cut and past job from the efa site. Why don’t people do the same? All it takes is a few minutes!

I live in an inner city Sydney suburb, called, Newtown, what used to be labor party hearland.

If Conroy, keeps this rubbish up, I can almost guarantee that the joint will vote Green.

People here are quite genuinely shocked, when they find out, what is transpiring.
